Author Biography

Tinker D. Murray, PhD, FACSM, is a professor of health, physical education, and recreation at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. Tinker is a former two-time president of the Texas regional chapter of the ACSM. He is an author, marathon-runner, and former running coach.Mike Sardo is presently a member of the collegiate style NBA professional cheerleading team, the San Antonio Spurs Coyote Crew. He graduated magna cum laude from Texas State University in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science. Mike was a four-year competitive cheerleader at Texas State University and was elected as team captain for both his junior and senior years. He was ranked by the Universal Cheerleaders Association as one of he top 30 partner stunt performers for two consecutive years.Gladys M. Keeton, MFA, is an associate professor of dance at Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX. Professor Keeton teaches modern, ballroom, tap, cultural dance, children's dance, and adapted dance with emphasis on pedagogy. She also teaches dance appreciation and choreography for annual concerts and musicals, one of which received honorable mention from the Kennedy Center ACTF.
