Author Biography

K. Gibbs (Author) : E. Meryment (Author) : Kate Gibbs is a Sydney-based writer and journalist. She writes a weekly column in The Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Living and a weekly restaurant review in Sunday Life magazine. Her work has also appeared in Australian Gourmet Traveller, Frankie magazine, and the travel, food and lifestyle sections within The Sydney Morning Herald. Her essay ‘Future Food’ appears in Voracious: The Best New Australian Food Writing. Kate is a major contributor to SMH Everyday Eats 2011 and SMH Good Cafe Guide 2011. The Thrifty Kitchen (2009) is her debut cookbook, and she is currently working on her next book. Restaurant critic for The Sunday Telegraph, Elizabeth Meryment has co-authored four books of food writing, including Eating + Drinking Sydney 2012. A widely known food journalist, she contributes to publications around Australia, including the Weekend Australian.
