Motivating students to make healthy choices

Long known for its currency, research, and strength in behavior change, Access to Health provides key information through a consistent framework for motivating students to make healthy life choices. As a teacher, mentor, and researcher, Rebecca J. Donatelle knows the issues that are important to today’s students. Through her friendly writing style, she addresses students’ concerns and teaches them to be savvy and critical consumers of health information.

The MasteringHealth Edition continues to offer learners up-to-date research, in-depth coverage of a wide variety of relevant topics, appealing visual presentation, and a focus on behavior change, while now providing support beyond the page with MasteringHealth. Content revisions make material even more engaging and accessible to learners and include updates to online/digital tools and a new mini-chapter focusing on financial health. New end-of-chapter Study Plans in the text, self-assessments, and relevant media assets are assignable in MasteringHealth, where students can practice and instructors can track student progress.

Superior support beyond the classroom with MasteringHealth

MasteringHealth is an online homework, tutorial, and assessment product designed to improve results by helping students quickly master concepts. Students benefit from self-paced tutorials that feature immediate wrong-answer feedback and hints that emulate the office-hour experience to help students stay on track. With a wide range of interactive, engaging, and assignable activities, students are encouraged to actively learn and retain tough course concepts.
