This is truly a remarkable book. It looks like the author's did not hold back from covering the latest information in detail so that the graduate student or gifted upper level undergraduate can become up to date on how a physiological system responds to exercise. The chapters are all organized identically in terms of layout and there are questions the student should ponder to make sure they really understand the material. This book is invaluable when a department or program does not have an in house expert in a certain area but the program needs its students to have a very good understanding of all systems.
