Ernest Hawkins, the Secretary of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts, for much valuable information. They have been brought together to give a summary of the history of a Diocese, created so recently as the year 1847, in answer to Mr. Hawkins' appeal in his Preface to the "Annals of the Diocese of Fredericton. "-"Similar manuals of other Colonial Dioceses would, it is conceived, by the diffusion of authentic information, help to create a more general and effectual interest in the welfare of the Church abroad. ""
