Summary

Annual Birds in Color is a beautifully illustrated 2008 calendar, featuring twelve birds-one for each month of the year. By removing the calendar at the end of its use, it becomes keepsake book, designed to bring lasting years of pleasure. The superbly illustrated pages of the top portion of the calendar/book are presented in full color with a drawing of birds in settings appropriate to the month each represents. A short description about each bird is also provided. The calendars for each month are presented below the illustrations and include enough room for a small note in each day's box. A hole has been punched in the top of the calendar so that it can be conveniently hung. The total dimension of Annual Birds in Color is 7 x 11 inches. Once you have completed using the calendar, that portion can easily be removed by cutting or tearing along the perforations between the upper illustrations and the lower calendar, thus leaving a lovely keepsake book measuring 7 x 7 inches. The cover is presented in an attractive, lively, bright-green color with the author's colorful "A-B-C" logo presented as part of the title. Illustrations of the procedure to convert the calendar to a book are featured on the bottom (calendar) portion of the front and back covers of the product. This unique calendar will have a longer shelf life for the retailer than regular annual calendars. The retail price of this calendar/book is only $7.95. It is recommended, however, that after the calendar buying season is over, the book portion alone could be retailed for at least $4.95, or at the retailer's discretion. Author Biography

Lawrence (Larry) Hohman was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He honed his artistic talent for drawing at The Cleveland Institute of Art. After graduation, he went to work as an art studio designer, then as an advertising agency art director, and finally as the owner of a commercial art studio. He owned the studio for twenty-six years, until retiring in 1996.From buying land on which he built a small log cabin from the trees on the property, to enjoying golf and gardening, Hohman lives his true love of nature and the outdoors. Larry and his wife, Evelyn, live in Olmsted Falls, Ohio. The couple has four grown daughters.
