Summary

Boudoir photography is an exciting challenge for a woman to release her inhibitions and reveal her true self: who she is, who she can be, and who she wants to be. For photographers like Christa Meola, the challenge is to honor the subject with the best possible pictures. This book is about bringing out the absolute best in every single woman who steps in front of the camera to create an amazing and unforgettable experience with images that are packed with emotion. The boudoir photography market is currently enjoying a huge surge in popularity. As more and more women of all ages are seeking out this unique service, new and established photographers are adding boudoir to their business. This book is not a camera manual or a post-production workbook, but rather a book for photographers with varying levels of experience to appreciate and embrace boudoir photography, enhance their understanding of what it is, what it can do for women, and how to have fun with it. Pro photographer Christa Meola covers everything from equipment and lighting, to posing and composition, to post-processing and presenting images to the client. With before/after and do/don't scenarios throughout the book, as well as top-ten lists, copious illustrations, and metadata information for every shot provided, this book offers clear instruction with beautiful photos throughout.

Author Biography

Christa Meola has enjoyed life behind the camera since she was six years old. Her childhood passion has developed into a career. She opened a photography studio in Los Angeles, began teaching fellow professional photographers, and traveled internationally for commissioned portraits. While her sensibility has matured to reflect the soul of a woman, her child-like sense of adventure and exuberant spirit remains. A born and raised Jersey girl, Christa currently lives and works in New York City. She offers online workshops during the year as well as private photo shoots and Boudoir Parties. You can find out more about Christa and these great opportunities on her blog at ChristaMeola.com.
