Author Biography

KIMIO KASE has interests that lie in the area of corporate-level strategy, namely, the creation of value from the corporate parent. He took part in the UK-Japan joint research project on the corporate-level strategy, in which Japan's Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Manchester University, etc., collaborated. His recent research focuses on the transformational leadership from the viewpoint of leaders' mental scheme. The visiting Professorship includes China Europe International Business School in Shanghai in 2000; International Christian University in Tokyo in 2006/2007, Yonsei University in Seoul in 2008, PAD at Piura University in Lima in 2006. Dr Kase worked for a Japanese company, specializing in industrial marketing before joining Price Waterhouse European Firm. Apart from PW where he was director, he worked for Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC. His three-year stint in Japan as Professor of Strategy at the International University of Japan allowed exposure to the changes taking place among excellent Japanese enterprises.

ALICIA SLOCUM of the Saint Louis University, Madrid, Spain has a Doctorate in Business Administration from Cranfield University, United Kingdom. She obtained her MA in International Economics from Johns Hopkins Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, Washington D.C., USA. Her research interests include Specialization Marketing and International Marketing
Management, with emphasis on Strategic Change,Organizational Development, Structuration and Cognition and Temporality.
 
YINGYING ZHANG was born and educated in China and received her MBA and PhD degree in Spain, as well as other management trainings in Singapore, U.K., Denmark, and USA. Before initiating her academic career, Professor Zhang has worked extensively in international business between Spain and China including negotiation, consulting and cross-cultural training.
