Thermal Data for Natural and Synthetic Fuels presents thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analysis data (DTA) for 100 organic substances such as natural biomass, processed biomass, municipal solid wastes, coal, lignite, and liquid fuels, gathered under comparable conditions. The thermal data charts are organized by individual biomass components and provide information about the thermal behavior of solid fuels under pyrolytic conditions. Also included are several chapters giving an overview of thermal analysis methods and the techniques of deriving kinetic data from thermal analysis.Since there are as yet no defined standards for thermal analysis techniques, there has been no way to compare thermal data taken from different sources. This work by two experts in the field should help provide comparable data for natural and synthetic fuels. It is intended for use by scientists and researchers who are interested in the mechanism of pyrolysis and for engineers who need accurate thermal data to optimize reaction conditions for process designing.
