SummaryAuthor BiographyEditorial Reviews
In the spirit of Eragon, Lord of The Rings, Dragonlance and Sword of Shanara, Gambit's End is the final book in The Divine Gambit Trilogy. A fantasy/action-adventure following up the two well-received previous volumes of the series (Seer's Quest and Path of Power), Gambit's End is a powerful and perfect end to this three part story. Though written for a slightly older market, it can still be enjoyed by tweens to teens and adults of all ages. In Gambit's End, The Divine Gambit Trilogy draws to a close when the mercenaries who have been drawn together since Seer's Quest, face off with The Master one last time. Unable to stop him from claiming his goal of godhood, those that survive discover the full scope of his plans and ultimately see just how large this gambit really is. With this greater revelation the three surviving mercenaries go on a desperate journey to try and find a way to stop The Master from not only claiming Tralodren as his own but all the power of the Tralodroen Pantheon as well. They are not alone in this as the gods have taken action, and sides, adding more complexity and uncertainly to the outcome. Between the various divine factions and alliances, surviving members of a mercenary band desperate to find the key to a weapon they hope to use against The Master, and two cosmic forces who are playing everyone as pawns in their own game, the gambit comes to an end that many had not been expecting.
A Minnesota native since his birth, Chad Corrie has long had a love affair with his creative side. Dabbling in art, film, music and acting, it wasn't until he found writing that he began to excel at something with which he'd found a healthy outlet and addiction. Since that time he has written a wide array of material from such varied genres as horror, sci-fi and contemporary fiction amid comic scripting, poetry, screen plays, stage plays and more. It wasn't until recently that he discovered fantasy and began to work in this interesting and very broad genre. Chad Corrie lives in Minnesota and has written three novels: Seer's Quest, Path of Power, and Gambit's End, which are all part of The Divine Gambit Trilogy. He has also written a graphic novel: Tales of Traldoren: The Beginning and is working a collection of new novels and graphic novels for future release among other works.

Despite the attempts of a group of mercenaries-turned-heroes, the creature known simply as the Master has attained godhood and now threatens to destroy the world of Tralodren and its existing Pantheon of gods and goddesses. As Rowan works to save his beloved Cadrissa from the Master, Clara strives to keep hope alive among her companions, for this time, the gods themselves take a hand in shaping the destiny of the world. In this conclusion to the "Divine Gambit" trilogy (Seer's Quest; Path of Power ), Corrie has created a world of warring gods and goddesses; peopled it with humans, dwarves, elves, and other races; and infused it with life and color. This saga of faith triumphant belongs in larger fantasy collections.
