Blanchard lived his entire life in Massachusetts. Before becoming a full-time writer Al owned an art gallery, a music store, a restaurant, taught com-puter literacy to blind adults and geography to seventh graders in a public school. He wrote two mystery series-The Steve Asher Mystery series and The James Callahan Mystery Series-and a collection of short stories entitled The Stalker and Other Tales of Love and Murder. Al Blanchard's books never disappoint, his humor will be missed, and his writing continues to inspire readers from all walks of life.
