ERIN TURNER A simple girl from Colorado, it was the City That Never Sleeps that unlocked Erin's inner sanctity when she first unlaced her sneakers to hit her yoga mat. A writer by trade and an exercise enthusiast by way of sanity, Erin quickly realized after moving to New York City that getting anywhere fast meant truly slowing down which she finally learned how to do once her yoga practice began. From her first minutes on camera as a television reporter to her current, award-winning role as a Senior Producer and on-air talent in New York City, Erin's high-intensity career lead her to the mat in search of an awakening that mentally and physically stimulated her on a deeper level than what her years as a runner failed to provide. A Journalism graduate from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Erin found herself in every section of the country in pursuit of her career before following her heart and the man that captured it to New York City. It was here where Erin's first yoga class uncovered a new world of tranquility among the chaotic city and she's been addicted to the mind/body benefits of yoga ever since. Living in a city with limitless options, she explores every style, level and philosophy she can find and regardless of preference, she walks away from each and every class with a deeper sense of self and a greater appreciation for what the city unlocked in her spirit and her practice. Erin is grateful for discovering her true roadmap that has allowed her to combine her two passions in life, yoga and writing, and hopes to use both to unlock the same fire in others. Erin currently lives in DUMBO, Brooklyn.NATASHA AUGOUSTOPOULOS Natasha Augoustopoulos is a New York State licensed teacher of Health and Physical Education, and she is a long-standing favorite of the talented students at LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and the Performing Arts, where she teaches yoga. She first encountered yoga during her undergraduate studies, but it was in New York City while completing her first Master's degree at Columbia University, that Natasha began her practice with the revered Sri Dharma Mittra and truly realized her intense connection to yoga. This eventually led her to Integral Yoga's Yogaville Ashram where she completed her teacher training under Swami Satchidanada. A history teacher at the time, she founded a popular after-school yoga program at LaGuardia. She has since started a successful full-time yoga program as part of the Physical Education Department. As a popular yoga instructor at Equinox, an elite fitness club, she has created a class called Vin-Hatha. This class combines the classic meditative form of Hatha Yoga with the strength of Power Flow. In an effort to continually improve her instructional technique, she attends various yoga workshops and advanced classes. For Natasha, yoga is a tool to work through life's daily challenges, and she continually strives to build a link between yoga and life in the city. When she isn't on her mat saluting the sun, she may be on her snowboard carving down a mountain. With her adventuresome spirit and love of a challenge, she might also be found at surf camp in the Pacific, trying to conquer her fear of the ocean, or on the streets of her native burg, training for the New York City Marathon. No matter where she is or what she is doing, Natasha's passion for a greater sense of purpose is a constant.
