This educational picture book for children depicts the daily life and habits of the bushbaby—a nocturnal primate whose habitat is rapidly disappearing. Emerging at dusk, the little bushbaby explores the bush, feeds and grooms himself, and listens for his father's call, which protects him from the hunting owls and genets. As dawn approaches, he retreats back to the hidden nest that he shares with his family. Describes the behavior and habits of bushbabies at night, including searching for fruit, scanning for enemies, and grooming their coats. Jeremy Grimsdell has a background in animal ecology. He is the author of Kalinzu and the Oxpeckers. |
