A complete list of the subfamily Cassidinae, excluding the tribe Imtidiini, is given. The subfamily comprises 12 tribes, 169 genera, and 2760 species names; 151 new synonyms and 397 new combinations are proposed. For each species, a complete list of synonyms, name combinations, errors, bibliographic data, type locality in original spelling, geographic distribution, host plants and location of types are included. For 605 names lectotypes are designated.
