This is a story about a magnificent bird, the biggest in all of Poland, the symbol of prudence, inhabitant of swamps and steppes. Although bound to its habitat, the crane has made a small step towards humans, which has helped it survive; it has learned to look for its food in fields quite close to human holdings. The story of the crane is at the same time the story of the four seasons and changes they bring about in forests, marshes and fields.
