This is the first publication of its kind to provide detailed information on the country in a condensed form. Its publication arose out of a need to provide easy reference material to policy makers, researchers, schools, libraries and visitors to the country. The information presented covers local and size of districts; economic activities, industry and agriculture; relief, climate and vegetation; size of population; health services, schools, vacational institutions and institutions of higher learning. Districts are arranged alphabetically, and information is standardized for each district.
