Author Biography

International bestselling author/editor David Elliot Cohen has created or coauthored numerous large-format illustrated books that have collectively sold over 5 million copies. Most were in the popular Day in the Life and America 24/7 series, and four have been New York Times bestsellers. Cohen has been profiled in almost every major periodical and many TV news programs, and his books have appeared on the covers of Time and Newsweek. Condoleezza Rice is currently professor of political economy at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, director of the business school’s Global Center for Business and the Economy, and the Thomas and Barbara Stephenson Senior Fellow on Public Policy at the Hoover Institution. Under President George W. Bush, Dr. Rice served as secretary of state (2005-2009) and national security advisor (2001-2004). She also served on the National Security Council as Soviet and East European affairs advisor to President George H. W. Bush during German reunification and the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
