Author Biography

Barry Pickthall is the former yachting correspondent for The Times, editor of Boat News, and has spent four decades writing about and testing boats. He won the YJA/Whyte MacKay Journalist of the Year award, has authored 21 books on the sport, and is the managing director of PPL Ltd. Barry began his career training as a boatbuilder and naval architect, and has 27ft Rhodes-designed Sea Jay.
