Rene L. Vellanoweth is associate professor of anthropology at California State University, Los Angeles. Torben C. Rick is assistant professor of anthropology at Southern Methodist University. Jon M. Erlandson is professor of anthropology and executive director of the Museum of Natural and Cultural History at the University of Oregon.
