Author Biography

Doug Gelbert: Doug Gelbert is the author of over 40 guidebooks on such diverse topics as national competitions, sports halls of fame, the Civil War, movie filming locations and the best places to hike with your dog. He has written over 300 walking tours of towns across America in the LOOK UP, AMERICA! series. He has authored over 200 mini-biographies of people behind our household brand names that appear in eBook form in the Man Behind The Brand. Eric Nathan: The product of a restless soul and a slightly warped sense of humor, Eric is a self-taught freelance travel photographer based in Cape Town. He grew up in South Africa and moved back in December 2009 after working in London for 12 years. It took him that long to accept that the British weather isn’t going to improve any time soon but it also allowed him the time to hone his skill, travel extensively, thicken his skin and learn some humility. Though not necessarily in that order. During his time in London he also worked regularly as a video cameraman and had the dubious pleasure of filming publicity interviews with many Hollywood A-listers when they were in town to promote their latest releases.
