This book of poetry includes poems and verses by Yuri K. Shestopaloff, which were earlier published in the Internet journals and on-line periodic publications. The book also includes the author's poem "Niti" ("Threads"), that was previously published by "Omsk Book Publishing". Author Biography

About the Author Yuri K. Shestopaloff is a professional academic and consultant. He started his academic career as an Applied Mathematician and Engineer-Physicist. He received his M.Sc and Ph.D degrees from Moscow Physical Technological Institute, focusing on developing mathematical methods and algorithms for data interpretation. He accomplished the Doctor of Sciences degree, the highest academic degree in European countries, for developing mathematical methods for data interpretation and processing. He has worked as Associate Professor, Full Professor and Chair at Electrical Engineering Department of Academy of Transport. Simultaneously, he held position of Chief Scientist at Institute of Sensor Microelectronics of Russian Academy of Sciences. Yuri K. Shestopaloff does consulting and research on mathematical methods and computational algorithms in various fields of science and technology, such as financial mathematics, biology, remote sensing, and wave propagation theory. He also consults on system design issues, and leads middle and large scale software development projects requiring high performance and efficient data processing. In particular, Yuri develops investment performance measurement applications and programming trading systems.He has published five books and over eighty academic articles on financial mathematics, remote sensing, wave propagation theory, and mathematical methods and algorithms for data interpretation and data processing. Yuri publishes also articles on natural philosophy and philosophy of science.Poetry and literary writings (short stories, novels) are Yuri's old passions that, at this point, have been developed to a professional level. He is known as a poet and a writer on the Internet, some his verses and stories are read by thousands of people only through one on-line journal, and citations and references to his writings can be found in many places, and on a wide spectrum of applications, some really unexpected, such as when his verses compliment the photographs and paintings (or vice versa, whatever).
