Summary

The aim of this manual is to help students and professor to take advantage of community based learning in conjuction with the Conexiones textbook. The manual has three parts: Part 1 consists of a series of questions and/or suggestions to help students and instructors reflect on the content of the chapter from the student text and to connect it to their work in the community. Part 2 offers several activities, based on the 5 Cs from the Standards for Foreign Language Learning: Preparing for the 21st Century. Part 3 provides suggestions for incorporating Community-Based Learning into the classroom.
