Summary
Christmas in Connecticutis a full-color celebration of the spirit of Christmas in a quintessentially New England state. Author andPositively Connecticuttelevision journalist Diane Smith highlights the many joyful things to see and do during the holidays, and she profiles some of the remarkable people who make the holiday season brighter for visitors and Connecticut residents alike. Christmas in Connecticutincludes inspiring, funny, and heart-warming essays accompanied by stunning color photographs. Readers get a chance to savor the state's traditional and lesser known holiday activities--everything from snow games, fantastical light displays, artisan craft shows, holiday home tours, and colorful theater productions to charity festivals and individual expressions of goodwill. The book includes a where-to appendix and holiday recipes. See classic Colonial houses in snow, join a candlelight neighborhood tour, and meet the people whose hearts overflow with the spirit of the season. Underlying all is the message common to Diane Smith's books: that caring, positive people make a difference.
