Summary

This book presents a series of guided, easy-to-follow workshops aimed at children of a primary school age and upwards, working under supervision but not necessarily in the classroom. Each project will build confidence with techniques and materials, encouraging the child to engage with more challenging ideas once they understand the usefulness and relevance of the skills they have already acquired. Author Biography

Karen Woods is an established textile artist and painter, with 13 years' experience as a crafts teacher for schools and behavioural problems/special needs groups. As well as taking time for her own personal work, she has run textile and sculpture workshops for a variety of young peoples' groups, schools and community mental health centres.
