Print designers and compositors, feeling the pressure to create documents for multiple devices, will be thrilled with the powerful new layout tools that Adobe has included with InDesign CS6. Now they just need to know learn to use them. Digital Publishing with Adobe InDesign CS6thoroughly covers the theory and best practices of using InDesign's revolutionary new layout features, including Alternate Layouts, Liquid Layouts, and the new linked content tools, which more easily allow repurposing of content for easily outputting to various devices such as phones and tablets. The book, written by two respected publishing experts Sandee Cohen and Diane Burns, will examine not just the Hows of using the tools, but also the When and Why of choosing between the various digital format options--ePub, PDF, SWF, and so on. Clear explanations and plentiful full-color graphics will guide readers through the potentially confusing digital publishing landscape.
