Author Biography

A native of Spain, JosT Alfonso Ni±o was born in Tarragona and raised in Le=n. He graduated with a journalism degree from Escuela Oficial de Periodismo de Madrid (Official Journalism College of Madrid). JosT Alfonso arrived in the United States in 1971, beginning his professional career with a 20-year stint at Editorial AmTrica, where he held several key editing positions of such renowned titles as Buenhogar (Spanish-language version of Good Housekeeping), Vanidades, and Hombre de Mundo, among others. Along with his wife, Margarita, he founded and directed Alani Press, an international wire news service. Returning to the magazine publishing industry in 1994, JosT Alfonso and his partner, Ugo Campello, established Linda International Publishing in 1994, launching the very successful Casa & Estilo Internacionalùthe leading Spanish-language home design and upscale lifestyle magazineùnow in its 13th year of continuous publication. He was instrumental in the creation and development of the company's TV program, which carries the same title as the magazine. Besides the magazine and TV show, Linda International also publishes a series of bilingual (English and Spanish) coffee table design and art booksùthe most recent offering is Dise±o IV/Design IV, the fourth in the design series.
