I think this is a good book, easy to read, and has some great hints and strategies in it. It's probably good for the first time online learner. It really serves as a bridge for students who may be familiar with technologies such as real-time chats, online discussion boards, and e-mail as recreational tools, but have not learned how to apply these in a learning environment. The section on preparing your computer is also very helpful.
