Eva Watson-Schütze’scareer as a photographer brought her into contact with many of those who helped shape twentieth-century American culture, from Thomas Eakins and Alfred Stieglitz to the artists and intellectuals of the Byrdcliffe Arts and Crafts Colony in Woodstock, New York.
