Sherry Turkle is Abby Rockefeller Mauze Professor of the Social Studies of Science and Technology at MIT and Director of the MIT Initiative on Technology and Self. She is the editor of Evocative Objects (2007) and The Inner History of Devices (2008), both published by the MIT Press, and the author of Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from Each Other and other books.
