A former investment analyst, she has been a communications consultant to Dow Jones Company, Wells Fargo Company, Visa International, and the Federal Home Loan Banks. She has also been a business and cultural affairs columnist. Her articles have appeared in the Christian Science Monitor, PBS Public Television's Focus Magazine, and the San Francisco Chronicle.
