Author Biography

About the Author
Suspense fiction writer Cornell Woolrich (1903-1968) has been call the "Father of Noir" and the "Edgar Allan Poe of the 20th Century." His stories were the basis of such classic suspense films as Hitchcock's "Rear Window" and Truffaut's "The Bride Wore Black." Other well-known works by Woolrich (sometimes writing under the pseudonym William Irish) include "Phantom Lady," "Black Angel," "Deadline at Dawn," and "I Married a Dead Man."
