At the same time, I was exposed to a newscast concerning a very emotional debate going on in the Maryland House of Delegates about a bill that would make it easier for a victim of domestic abuse filing restraining orders to be granted a permit to carry a concealed gun. This fueled my disgust and contempt for abuse and abusers and opened a door to an onslaught of emotions which I felt compelled to express.
