Summary

The Future of Jewish Theology explores the concept of holiness as a path to recapturing the essence of faith. The author argues that a balanced interpretation of holiness must acknowledge holiness as a ritual and ethical reality in order to heal the rift between different forms of Jewish practice and theology. A theology of holiness calls Jews back to sources of Judaism-Torah and mitzvoth-even as it requires them to move out of their communities and join sister faiths of Christianity and Islam in an attempt to redeem the world.
