The care that has gone into the writing and presentation of this textbook is amazing. It presents the history of art (and architecture) from the first cave paintings up until modern day. The online component ("ArtStudy Online") of this book is well worth utilizing, it has videos that expand upon the textbook topics, and high-quality zoomable images that feature relevant works of art the author couldn't squeeze into the book, plus easily accessible glossaries (with pronunciations) for every chapter.
