Author Biography

Annie Bell began her career as a chef before becoming a full time food writer and author. Annie is the author of Gorgeous Cakes and Gorgeous Desserts, the first two instalments of the Gorgous series. Her other books include in My Kitchen, Living and Eating with architect John Pawson, Annie Bell's Vegetable Book, and Annie Bell's Evergreen, which was shortlisted for the Andre Simon and Glenfiddich Food Writing awards.

She spent several years as a food writer for Vogue, then as a food writer on the Independent. She is currently principal food writer on the Mail on Sunday's You magazine, and is a contributor to Country Living magazine. She was winner of the Guild of Food Writers Journalist of the Year award in 2003.
