Your Account

Create an Account

When you place your first order on our website, an account will be created in our system. To create this account, simply select the items you wish to purchase and add them to your shopping cart. On the checkout screen choose the Continue as New Customer option on the screen. You will be asked to provide an email address and password along with your billing and shipping address, shipping preference and payment information.

If you have had financial aid or student account money transferred from your school or organization to help pay for textbook purchases, an account will be created for you. You should receive communication from your school, or from our company providing you with the email address and password for your account. This account is most often created under your school or organization email.

The Virtual Bookstore Program is committed to protecting your privacy. We make every effort to assure your confidentiality and to keep your trust. The information you provide us is used to process orders and to assist us in providing you with a more personalized shopping experience. The Virtual Bookstore Program utilizes every available technology to ensure that your confidential information remains secure.

The Virtual Bookstore Program holds your email address in strictest confidence. We do not sell, give away, or otherwise distribute your email address to any third party unless you have given us permission through your account to do so.

When you place an order, we'll ask you for your name, email address, mailing address, billing address, and credit card number with expiration date. This information allows us to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status. Occasionally, we may use your email address to deliver information regarding important functionality changes to our website, new services, and special offers that might be of interest to you. If you would rather not receive this type of information, you can update your email settings in the My Account section of our website.

If you have difficulty with our website, we ask that you first check your browser settings to ensure that cookies can be created. Our site cookies do not contain any personal information, but they do store your settings and remember the contents of your shopping cart as you travel through the site or between visits.

The Virtual Bookstore Program also suggests that you keep your password private and avoid disclosing it to any third parties. If others have access to your password, the possibility exists that your personal information could be compromised.

Updating Account Information

We understand that you may need to make updates to your account email address, password or other information in our system. These changes can be made at any time by logging in to the My Account section of our website. Most of the changes you will need to make are available on the My Info tab after you log in. On this page you can update your name, email address, school affiliation, and promotional email settings.

To change your account password, you will need to click on the My Password tab after logging in. If you would like to update your shipping and billing address information for future orders, you may do so under the My Addresses tab. Please keep in mind updating your address information will not affect any current open order in our system. To update an address on an open order, you will need to contact customer service.

Retrieving my Account Password

Your password is needed to access the My Account section of our website, or to log in to place an order. If you ever forget your account password, please use the Forgot My Password link and provide us with your email address. We will then email you your account password.
