Summary
Erica Manfred was fifty-five when her husband announced he was leaving for a younger woman. Luckily, she had a girlfriend who had been through a recent divorcea friend who coached her through the frustrating, frightening process of taking care ofherselfagain. Author Biography
Erica Manfred has written for Cosmopolitan, New York Times Magazine, Ms., Parenting, Woman’s Day, and Bottom Line/Personal, and is coauthor of The Doctor’s Guide to Weight Loss Surgery. Previously a New York State caseworker who counseled families and children, she runs a women’s divorce support group in her hometown of Woodstock, New York.
