Kalwant Bhopal and Patrick Danaher examine 'race', identity and gender within education and explore the difficulties of relating these concepts to the experience of students in higher education. Kalwant Bhopal is Reader in Education at the University of Southampton, UK.Patrick Alan Danaher is Professor in Educational Research, Associate Dean (Research) and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.
