Summary

A variety of ways to design and build equestrian jumping courses for use at home are explained in this accessible guide. Through photos, diagrams, and tables, the handbook outlines which jump components are utilized in different horse show divisions, how course designers select the tracks to be followed, and what factors make a course more, or less, difficult to ride. More than 50 full course designs are provided along with 15 short courses, 35 gymnastic exercise setups, and 15 grid lines. Ideal for anyone who wants to understand the concepts of course design, this study also covers courses for Prix Caprilli dressage and Western trail competition.
