Author Biography

Mary Beth Crain is a journalist, author, former caterer, and lifelong foodie. She is the author of a memoir, A Widow, A Chihuahua and Harry Truman, which was a Los Angeles Times bestseller, and Guardian Angels. She recently cast her own mom in the new, costumed role of "Mother Asparagus" for the Asparagus Festival and Parade in her hometown of Hart, Michigan. She loves celebrating local produce, especially vegetables.
