Toy rabbits are always popular, and have been for many years. With their long ears and cute, fluffy tails, they are loved by children and adults alike. This book contains a wide variety of rabbits to knit, from fun and quirky, to cute and cuddly. Each rabbit has its own distinctive look and personality, and they come in a range of shapes, sizes and styles to suit knitters of all tastes and abilities. There are twenty patterns to choose from, and each one is accompanied by a beautiful, full-colour photograph of the finished rabbit, clear instructions, and a comprehensive list of the yarns, needles and embellishments you need. At the start of the book there are general notes on basic knitting techniques, the abbreviations used, materials and equipment, making it ideal for beginners as well as more experienced knitters.
Val Pierce's passion for knitting began when her father taught her to knit at the age of five. Later in life she began home knitting for yarn manufacturers, and since then she has made a huge range of items, from evening dresses to teddy bears. She later began designing items of her own, and before long Val's designs were appearing regularly in national knitting and crochet magazines. She also teaches knitting, as well as a range of other needlecrafts, to both adults and children. Val lives and works in Shropshire. www.crossedneedles.co.uk
