Author Biography

Alvaro Maccioni opened La Famiglia, the Chelsea restaurant he still runs today in 1975. In 1996 Alvaro won first prize from the Acadamia Della Cucina Italiana, the first time the prize has been awarded outside Italy. David Loftus is the photographer for Fish, Indian Style and The Paris Neighborhood Cookbook. His clients have included Gourmet, Jamie Oliver, Martha Stewart, and Ralph Lauren.
