Mordecai Richler was the author of The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, 11 other novels, and numerous screenplays, children’s books, essays, and articles. His books Solomon Gursky Was Here and St Urbain’s Horseman were short-listed for the Booker Prize.
