As the US economy is just beginning to show signs of emerging from one of its longest and most significant economic downturns companies are beginning to transition from austerity strategies to growth strategies. As the number of companies focusing on growth increases, the amount and complexity of change initiatives will increase dramatically as well. Acquisitions, strategic partnerships, new product introductions, systems integration, and other strategic initiatives will need funding in greater frequency. The challenge for these companies is how best to bed this new organizational direction into their strategy. This text integrates learning's from over 50 years of consulting experience in working with over 200 companies to assist in successfully implementing change, and to better understand the key success factors around change management. The methodology and tools contained within this book provide a scalable (suitable for simple to enterprise-wide change efforts) and flexible (multiple pathways) approach for assessing the need for change, designing a solution that integrates the organization/people issues, process, and project management issues, and full implementation.
