Author Biography

Laurie K. Glass, RN, PhD, FAAN, is recognized as one of the country's preeminent nurse historians known for her work in vividly capturing the life and contributions of nursing great Katharine Densford, as well as the history and impact of organizations such as the American Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, and the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. A professor emerita at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee College of Nursing, she is a founding member of the American Association for the History of Nursing and Midwest Nursing History Resource Center. She lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
