Author Biography

VAL WILLIAMS is a Senior Research Fellow at the Norah Fry Research Center, University of Bristol. She has extensive experience of working in partnership with people with learning disabilities and their organizations, and also of collaboration and support for parents of people with learning disabilities.

KELLEY JOHNSON is Director of the Norah Fry Research Center, Bristol University.She is an international scholar who, while previously based in Australia, has worked extensively in the UK and Slovakia. She has a particular interest in deinstitutionalization and community inclusion.
