Summary

By example, the book shows respect for police officers, how police dogs are trained to become working dogs, and the everyday dangers that these dogs and police officers endure. A glossary explains what certain dog terms mean, what equipment is used in training dogs, and also some English and German commands.

Author Biography

James MacDonald is a professional dog trainer and animal behaviorist. He is also a former police officer and schoolteacher. Levi: Adventures of a Police Dog is his second book. His first, You Be the Master, is a dog-training guide. MacDonald has received numerous awards throughout his career. Among them was an award presented by the Michigan Humane Society for humane work in training dogs in the television and advertising industry.
