The book consumed me
March 31, 2011
Jack McLean's memoirs brought forth an interesting story of his life from adolescence to manhood. He makes the reader feel as though they were there, right along with him on his journey through school, boot camp, and Viet Nam. To hear the truth from someone who gives an honest account of what really happened in Viet Nam was effective and mood altering. It gives one senses of pride to be an American.I has waited 42 years to hear the truth. I would love to read another book by this author. I would like to thank him, his comrades and his fallen brothers for their commitment to the American people.
