Summary

In 1904, nine-year-old Samantha, an orphan living with her wealthy grandmother, and her servant friend Nellie have a midnight adventure when they try to find out what has happened to the seamstress who suddenly left her job.

Author Biography

Susan Adler loved learning about what America was like in 1904 while she wrote about Samantha. Now she continues to learn about other times and places through her work in art conservation. Ms. Adler lives with her family on the East Coast.
