Author Biography

Ryan Russman is a 1999 graduate of Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts, and practiced in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, before taking over the Russman Law Firm located in Exeter, NH, from his father, Richard, who was a practicing attorney for more than 30 years. Attorney Russman has been a member of the National College for DUI Defense since 2006, and is certified as a Field Sobriety Test practitioner and instructor. He is a Drug Recognition Expert, and has certifications in the operation and use of the Intoxilyzer 5000. Combining his clients' desires with his dedication to protecting accused citizens, Mr. Russman sought out advanced training so he could bring the most sophisticated and cutting-edge arguments to the courtroom to ensure the courts are informed of the latest issues involving DWI defense. Judges and juries alike must be educated about the dubious techniques that are often used by police to convict New Hampshire citizens. Mr. Russman believes it is the responsibility of the DWI attorney to show the courts that simply administering a field sobriety test does not mean it was administered correctly, or that performance necessarily indicates evidence of impairment.
